BI Cost Assessment · 4 weeks · fixed price

How much is your reporting environment really costing you?

We measure your reports, models, refreshes and platform spend, and show where cost and complexity can come out.

What we look at

Seven areas, one scorecard

AreaWhat we check
Reports and usageWho opens what, how often, and what has gone unused
DuplicatesReports and measures that answer the same question in different ways
Semantic modelsModels with overlapping tables, unused columns, or no active report
Refresh and capacityRefresh schedules, failures and Fabric capacity load
Snowflake workloadWarehouse use and query cost driven by your reports
Security and accessWorkspace access, row-level security and sensitive data exposure
Team workloadWhere support time goes, from tickets and owner interviews

What you get

Answers you can take to finance

Savings are shown as low, likely and high ranges. We keep hard savings, like lower platform bills, apart from freed staff time, so the case holds up.

  • BI estate scorecard
  • Keep / merge / retire list, reviewed with report owners
  • Savings ranges with the math shown
  • Target design for what stays
  • Phased plan and a fixed quote for the next step

Access

What we need from you

We work from metadata first: report and model definitions, usage logs and query history. We do not need to copy your business data.

  • Read-only Power BI admin or scanner access
  • Read-only access to Snowflake usage views
  • One owner from BI and one from the platform team
  • Short interviews with a few report owners

Questions

Common questions

How is the price set?

It is fixed and agreed before we start. It depends on how many reports and models you have.

We don't use Snowflake. Does this still work?

Yes. The Power BI part works on its own. We cover Fabric or SQL Server sources too.

Is this about cutting jobs?

No. The goal is less busywork for your team: fewer reports to fix and fewer refreshes to watch, so people can do higher-value work.

Do you delete anything?

Not during the assessment. Later, reports are archived only after owners agree and the new numbers match.
